The Roll In, Offset Kings Japan 2015

I AM BACK JAPAN! After several months of excitement, I am finally back in the land that I once dreamed off visiting. This year, I had a similar routine going through the spots that I will cover for this blog. I will be splitting it into 8 parts plus an in-depth look on several cars for my coverage. I thought last year’s event was really crazy. However, Offset Kings Japan 2015 was on another level. Let’s start the 1,000 plus photo recap just like last year’s roll-in. Photos and images by Kevin Carlos. First seen on Fatlace dot com

Excitement for the event was felt from the Fatlace crew that flew in this year and upon seeing this we had that big smile on our faces.

July 12, around 6am we headed to the track to check in the P15 parking lot. Tasks were split and I was in charge of photo coverage for the blog and for Hellaflush IG.

36

Fuji Speedway was the home for Japan Motor Games 2015 and with Formula D and numerous meets happening that day OKJP held the most entrees. More than 375 cars showed up that day.

33

What I lacked last year was rolling shots, this year I made it sure to walk around the mountains to spot cars gunning it out to the event.

29

VIP style is huge this year, check out this LS on OZ Futura’s. What a great combination on mixing modern and classic styling.

28

The Toyota Crown is a popular platform in Japan, too bad it is a Japanese exclusive release.

27

Drifters in Japan are about style, skill and power. Those folded plates gives me so much excitement because of what it means for the Japanese. More on that soon.

26

Whether you are on bags or riding static they respect all paths of customizing.

25

20

This Laurel on Work Wheels Seeker’s looked fresh. Can’t go wrong with a 90’s 4-door drift car platform.

35

Toyota sells a lot of different cars for the Japanese market. Not really sure on what variant this is but the way the owner modified it was sinister.

41

Speaking of sinister, this photo had so much ‘feels’ into it.

23b

Remember the Filipino-owned red S15 from last year? Here it is now going for a wilder look.

23

He went ‘dorisha’ with the 15 x 10 -47 steelies plus 30mm spacers of front 45mm on rear.

22

Their group came in wild.

32

An S14 which went viral on blogs for it approach styling, it happens to be Dustin’s neighbor.

21

I was stoked to see a ‘bordeaux’ Stance Pilipinas sticker on his car, a sticker we designed last year.

34

Most camber this year, -100?

37

Proper.

12

No car is an excuses not to be modified. Take a look at this E90.

10

S14 modded really clean with the JDM Navan set-up.

7

Liberty Walk debuted their G37 kit. Expect a dedicated LB Works post soon.

8

Van game was hot with this RA6 Odyssey.

8b

Imagine seeing this thing rolling!

6f

OKJP was simultaneous held with a Mazda festival. Again, more on that soon!

38

This can be the most modified car off all all, a chopped a Y32 Cima.

6d

The Japanese can pull anything off, maybe it is because of how much passion they put on their builds. So much work went through by the looks of this one.

6e

To each his own.

5

An American car?

6

Nope, it’s a extremely modified JZX100 Chaser. These cars were heavily modified under the hood as it sounded it had a 1UZ underneath.

6c

Seeing these cars work on the cones was amazing, some even power-slided.

6b

The Japanese feel good when people appreciate their builds through photos.

30

A GS with R35 wheels!

4

Teru also helped us out at the event. Good to see you!

3

My kinda drift style. The way he executed this was amazing.

42

My first time to see a 458 Liberty Walk. This thing looked really aggressive.

2

Hearing this wide-open throttle through the mountains. The IPE exhaust matching the 4.5 liter V8 was eargasmic.

Good to see more classic 4-door Toyota’s this year. Squad goals.

Be back really soon.
