Stance Pilipinas Guam
It’s been a crazy past few months for me juggling off meets, events and daily life. To give you a brief background, Stance Pilipinas / Manila Fitted held 4 events in 8 weeks from March to May including this – the Upshift Ent x Stance Pilipinas GU.
As promised, here are some of the photos from the event.
Held last April 13 during Guam’s APL Smokin’ Wheels weekend, the event gathered different types of builders in the island. Smokin’ Wheels, which is on its 39th year also hosted the Proline Drifting challenge. The photo above shows several of the professional drift cars shipped in from Japan.
Weekends like this promotes the local car culture in Guam as a whole at an international level. A 3-day event at the Guam International Raceway, Smokin’ Wheels curates motorsports by bringing in guests, race car drivers and cars itself from various parts of the globe. During the weekend, we saw an Off-Road Buggy, Truck, UTV Race, motorcycle race. The drag strip is also an instant hit for everyone (more photos soon).
Always good to see this level of variety. Wish to see lowriders at the local meets here in Manila. Rigs were also present. Build detail is insane.
70s Chevelle, a regular during events. Jeepney on TE37s!
From what I’ve heard, the jeep was built for over 4 years by flying in parts from the Philippines. Peek that Toyota engine? Most local jeepneys here in Manila are running either Toyota or Isuzu engines.
Speaking of Toyota engines?
Love this for being very simple and neat. Kinda reminds me of the style during the Hellaflush shows 10 years ago in the U.S.
Hope you enjoyed the photo set. Special thanks to Upshift Ent. for mounting the event for us. See you guys soon.
